Frequently Asked Questions
Kitchen Remodeling FAQs
How much does a kitchen remodel cost?
It depends on the size of the room and on what you choose - cabinetry, countertops and appliances move the number more than anything else. We look at the kitchen first and then give you a written, itemized estimate, so you see what each part costs before you decide. The estimate is free and there is no obligation.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A straightforward refresh is a different job from moving plumbing and taking out a wall, so the honest answer is that it depends on the scope. Your written proposal gives you the schedule before anything starts, and you get progress photos every day the crew is in the house.
Do you help with design and material selection?
Yes. We help you settle the layout and choose cabinetry, countertops, tile and finishes that work together and fit the budget you have set. You are never left to specify a kitchen on your own.
Will I need to leave my home during the remodel?
Most people stay. We seal the work area off, protect the floors on the way in and out, and clear the site at the end of every day. If a stage of the work makes the kitchen unusable for a while, we tell you which days those are in advance.
Do you handle permits?
It depends on the work and on the city - cosmetic work usually needs nothing, while structural, electrical and plumbing changes do. We tell you plainly what your project will need before you commit, and we plan the schedule around the approvals it requires.
